Fundraise

As a charity we need to continually fundraise to enable us to run our projects. One way we do this is through a network of ‘in aid of’ fundraisers who put on a wide range of events such as cake bake events, coffee mornings, dress down Fridays and other workplace events.  Our intrepid fundraisers take on challenges like the London Marathon and the 3 Peaks Challenge – and this is just a selection of what they do! If you enjoy working with people and making a difference in your local community, then getting involved with Jigsaw as an ‘in aid of’ fundraiser could be just what you’re looking for.

If you’re putting on an event we have some resources to help you get started organising your event.

A gift in your will…

A gift in your will can make a vital difference to an elderly or disabled person who is at threat of losing their independence.  Your gift can help keep an elderly person safe following such severe financial abuse that they’ve lost their home.  Jigsaw Support Workers ensure there is always food, money, heating and warm clothes and they provide the practical help that’s needed to keep an elderly person safe from their abuser and independent.

A gift in your will can help us to support a service user like Mr B.  With the one to one support Jigsaw offered Mr B, his health has greatly improved and so has his living accommodation along with the ongoing support he receives with help to carry out his shopping and cleaning. Read his story in our case studies here.

To help local people to live the life they deserve, independently with choice and control, just like you and me – a gift in your Will will make a lasting difference, today and tomorrow.

If you would like more information about leaving a legacy in your will you can download our leaflet here.

Donate

As a charity we rely on the support of local people to provide our services. If you would like to help us to support the independence of elderly, disabled and vulnerable people at home, you can set up a direct debit for either a regular monthly amount or a one off donation (please contact us to discuss this). Every penny counts.  Click here to find how your regular or one off donation will make a daily and vital difference to people living right here in our community.  Your donation makes a huge difference.

£5 pays for a volunteer to visit a lonely and isolated person in their own home for a month.

£15 will pay towards the cost of recruiting more volunteers to our Befriending Project so we can be there for more lonely, older and housebound people in our community who are desperate for someone to talk to.

£25 pays to train a befriending volunteer to provide the one to one companionship that is so desperately needed. Befriending volunteers also monitor the health of their service users. This acts as an early warning system and helps to keep users at home, healthier for longer.

£125 pays to support and enable someone who is experiencing complex and difficult problems related to their housing for six months on the generic support project. This project prevents homelessness and helps users to stand on their own two feet.

You can help make a difference to local people’s lives by making a one off donation or by donating a regular amount every month. Monthly donations help us to plan services for the future.
