Meet The Team

Ian Marshall, Chief Officer

I deal with the challenges and changes that are faced everyday in managing a forward thinking organisation. We, as a team, are responding to the ever changing environment, looking for new ways to succeed in order to support the ever increasing number of people who are in need.

Cate Bones, Befriending Service Coordinator

It is my role to oversee the running of the Befriending service.  I recruit and manage a team of over 50 volunteers and ensure they are fully trained and carry out regular reviews with the volunteers.  I take referrals for Befriending service users, match them to a volunteer and carry out regular reviews to ensure the service is running smoothly.

I am also qualified to deliver In-House training for all staff and volunteers.

Jayne Bradley, Activities & Group Development

It is my role to develop new areas for activities including chair based activities which I deliver to a number of groups in the Warsop area.

I also provide reminiscence activities in the Poppyfields extra care housing scheme for service users suffering from Dementia.

I am a Dementia Champion and deliver Dementia Friends information sessions in the community.

Support Worker

Alison Waring, Hoarding Support Worker

I run the hoarding project in conjunction with Nottinghamshire County Council.  This is currently a 1 year pilot scheme running in Mansfield & Ashfield.

The service allows us to act as co-therapy workers alongside other professionals, make referrals to necessary agencies, support the service users to gain access to necessary health & social care services and support them to achieve house clearing, manage household budgets and deal with the everyday challenges that are holding them back.

Compulsive hoarding presents a concern for family and friends of the hoarder and in many cases the overall community.

Hoarding is without a doubt a community safety issue and can impact on levels of community cohesion.

Support Staff

Karen Ward, Administrative Assistant

I support Ian and the team with the everyday administrative tasks and reception duties.
