The services we provide:
Befriending Services – Isolation and loneliness affect many older people in Mansfield and Ashfield. Jigsaw’s one to one befriending service matches volunteers to those in need of company and friendship.
The service is open to anyone over 60 years of age living alone with little or no family contact within the Mansfield and Ashfield areas.
Group befriending sessions are also held in a variety of venues across Mansfield and Ashfield. We currently run local, friendly and informal pub lunches hosted by a volunteer. These venues provide a comfortable and relaxed meeting place to sit and chat, make new friends and enjoy a meal together. We have plans to expand the group befriending to other venues including cafes and garden centres. For more information go to Befriending on the What We Do Menu.
